What Streamzy is

Streamzy is an independent educational publisher. This site explains, in plain English, how TVs, streaming devices, home Wi-Fi and cables work, what the common terms mean, and what is worth knowing before you buy anything. The site is published by Streamzy LLC, based at 19509 Pinehurst Trail Dr, Humble, Texas, 77346.

Everything here is written for beginners and for people who are reasonably comfortable with technology but never wanted to study it. Articles aim for an 8th-grade reading level and are compiled from manufacturer documentation and published standards. You can read exactly how articles are made on the Editorial Standards page.

What Streamzy is not

Streamzy is not a support service, a repair service, or a reseller. It is not affiliated with any device maker, streaming service or provider, and brand names appear only descriptively — for example, to explain what a common term on a screen means.

That means this site cannot:

If you need help with a product you own, the right place is that manufacturer's support website.

Who writes the articles

Articles are published under the byline “Streamzy Editorial”. That is an editorial byline for the site as a whole, not an invented person. The publisher does not claim a panel of experts, certifications, or a history it does not have; each article lists the sources it was compiled from and the date it was last updated.

How the site is funded

The site currently runs without advertising and without affiliate links. If that ever changes, the change will be disclosed clearly on the page where it appears and on a dedicated disclosure page — and the rules on the Editorial Standards page still apply: no article exists to sell you something.
